Let's face facts:  If you have a medical condition or allergy, you really should be wearing a medical alert bracelet.  But what woman wants to wear one of those ugly all-metal bracelets?  Not me!  I started making bracelets for myself and had so many compliments on them, I decided to make them for others to enjoy.  That means YOU!  I make my bracelets to fit children, teens, and all sizes of adults.  And I have lots of gorgeous beads in just about all colors (and FUN beads for kids!).

When you buy your first bracelet, you'll need to also buy the alert ID tag.  Once you have the tag, you can just buy bracelets.  You can wear the same one all the time, or do like I do and change it according to your outfit.

Please keep in mind that every bracelet is handmade, and I don't buy a lot of the same focal beads, so seldom are any two bracelets just alike.  To keep prices down, I don't use all sterling silver.  I find that base metals and silver-plated beads are just as pretty.  But if you want all sterling, just let me know.  My bracelets vary in price from $7 to $50 each; the majority of them are only $10.

Measuring for your bracelet:

Use either a cloth tape measure to determine your wrist size, or wrap a piece of string gently around your wrist, mark where it meets, and then measure the string on a ruler.  Most people prefer their medical alert bracelets to fit loosely, so that's how I make them.  If you want a snug fit, please let me know.

Medical alert tag information:

You can choose from the tags that I have in stock, or you can specify your own words and I'll special order it for you.  All tags cost $20, and you can engrave 4 lines with up to 18 characters per line.

My tags are shiny stainless steel and measure 1-1/2" long and 5/8" wide.  They have jump rings on each end for ease of attaching your bracelet.  This adds another 1/4" to the length.

On the top of my tags, there is a red medical alert symbol; the words are engraved on the underside of the tag.  The tags I try to keep in stock are:

Diabetic
Diabetic On Insulin
Diabetic Penicillin Allergy
Penicillin Allergy
Epileptic
Heart Patient Takes Anti-Coagulants
Dialysis Patient
Cancer Patient
Do Not Resuscitate

You might want your tag to say Stroke Victim or Seizures or Wears Contacts or Sulfa Allergy or something else.

Another thing to consider engraving on your tag is your name and birthdate; paramedics appreciate this information because with it, they don't have to guess your age.
